III INTERNATIONAL HISTORICAL REENACTMENT “BATTLE OF VITTORIA 1813”

The Association already has been a time working, in the investigation, diffusion and promotion, of the Battle of Vittoria and of all the historical, social and military factors. For that reason in 2013 and 2014, the I and II Historical Recreation the International of Battle of Vitoria 1813 were celebrated.

I NAPOLEONIC RE-ENACTMENT AT FUENLABRADA

On Saturday 28 held in Fuenlabrada, the I Napoleonic Re-enactment of the popular revolt against the French invader.
From 1807, until the liberation of Madrid in 1813, there were large presence of French troops stationed in and around Madrid. Even in the beginning, when the French came as allies, were frictions betwen the french troops and the population. In Leganés was a major garrison, that had to be maintained by the municipality and the nearby villages. When people did not provide the supplies, they proceeded to pillage the town. In the case of Fuenlabrada it was sacked on four occasions, the worse in August 22, 1812 in which price half of the population of the village.

NAPOLEONIC CAMP IN VITORIA

The first week of June, was celebrated in Vitoria the III Napoleonic Week. Within the programmed acts, the Association organize a small Napoleonic camp in Armentia. The camp would be occupied mainly by French troops and would serve as training camp for the different groups, which fifteen days later would go to Waterloo and would fight grouped within the same peloton.

NIGHT ASSAULT TO THE BURGOS CASTLE 2015

The last three weekends have been in three recreations, in Burgos, Lerma and Vitoria. The mount me and the trip to Waterloo is coming. So today I present the first of three in a row, the nightly assault of Allied troops Burgos Castle in 1812, defended by the 34th French line infantery regiment.
